About Lubbock Electrician Pros

What this service is
When a breaker keeps tripping on a 100°F afternoon or half the house goes dark, most people do not want to call five companies and repeat the story five times. This site exists to shorten that step.
Send the quote form or call the local 806 number. Your request goes to independent electrical contractors who serve your part of Lubbock or the surrounding towns, and they contact you directly to ask questions, set up a visit and quote the job. The request is free, and you never have to hire anyone.
- Free, no-obligation quote requests
- Independent contractors who reply on their own schedules
- Plain guides on Texas licensing, City of Lubbock permits and typical costs
- A local 806 phone number
What this service is not
Not an electrician. Lubbock Electrician Pros is an independent quote service. It is not an electrical contractor, does not perform electrical work, and is not affiliated with any electrical company. It holds no TDLR electrical license and no TECL contractor number, and it does not plan, perform, supervise or warranty any electrical work.
Every inspection, repair, upgrade and permit is handled and priced by the independent contractor you choose. The contractors are separate businesses, not employees or agents of this site. This site does not rank or endorse them, and it cannot promise that any one of them is licensed or insured. Texas requires both; verify both.
How the service is paid for
You pay nothing to use the site. Independent contractors may pay to receive quote requests or phone calls from it. That is how a referral service like this one stays free for homeowners. It does not change what you should ask before hiring, and it does not mean any contractor has been vetted by this site.
How phone calls work
Calls to (806) 621-0160 are routed by a call-routing provider to an independent electrical contractor that serves the Lubbock area. The person who answers works for that contractor, not for this site. Ask for the business name and its TECL license number on the call, and check both before anyone comes out.
Before you hire anyone
- Texas requires electrical contractors and electricians to be licensed by TDLR (Occupations Code Ch. 1305). Check any license at tdlr.texas.gov/LicenseSearch and look for the contractor's TECL number on the truck and the written proposal.
- Ask for a certificate of insurance. Texas sets a minimum of $300,000 per occurrence and $600,000 aggregate for licensed electrical contractors.
- Get a written, itemized quote, and ask up front about any trip or diagnostic fee and after-hours rates.
- Ask who pulls the permit. The City of Lubbock's minimum electrical permit fee is $50 (FY 2023–24 fee schedule).
Our guide on checking a Texas electrician's license walks through the TDLR search, and why a local electrician matters covers the questions to ask on the first call. For typical price ranges, see the Lubbock electrician cost guide.
Where the service works
Lubbock, TX is the hub, from Tech Terrace and Overton to the newer south and southwest neighborhoods. Requests are also welcome from Wolfforth, Shallowater, Slaton, Levelland, Idalou and Ransom Canyon, plus Post, Abernathy, New Deal, Lorenzo and Buffalo Springs. The service areas page has the details.
For electrical contractors
Licensed electrical contractors who serve Lubbock or the South Plains and want to receive quote requests can say so through the quote form. Choose "Other" and include your business name, TECL number and the towns you cover.
How this site handles information
- Sources named. Prices come from published national cost guides, dated and labeled as estimates. Weather and housing facts name their source, such as NOAA normals or the Census ACS.
- Rules, not legal advice. Licensing, permit and landlord sections are general information. Confirm anything important with TDLR, the City of Lubbock or your town hall.
- Honest images. Images on this site are illustrations, not photos of any contractor's work.
